Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed martial arts pundit. Miesha Tate is a well-known american mixed martial arts artist. She was born in Tacoma, Washington, she played a lot of sports from her school days. As she was attending the Central Washington University, she joined the mixed martial arts team following a recommendation from one of her friends. Her first professional competition at twenty against Elizabeth Posener who was a Muay Thai expert. After that, at the one-night HOOKnSHOOT Women's Grand Prix where she was able to make her professional debut. After two years, she won the FCF Women's Bantamweight Championship for the first time. Tate's fighting style focused on wrestling as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It resulted in a great deal of admiration and praise. Then, her fame gained momentum when she became the first female to win the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship.
